"In Vain" is a telescope shape red clay object. In terms of telescopes, a tool to collect and focus and the resulting image magnified. This telescope looks toward a brick wall, it tries to show the view inside the wall. Besides being black and empty, no views behind the bricks. It leads us to look at "nothing". This telescope shows us "nothing".
